Good Morning Douglas and Saugatuck, Michigan Yes folks, it’s another beautiful day here around the area and at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast and Saugatuck, Michigan. Today in West Michigan it will be Sunny, yes Sunny. The Temperature will be close to 80 degrees, hardly any wind. Awesome beach day, maybe some lunch at the Red Dock Café (one of the hippest places around) , next to the Keewatin. Went to the Douglas Social last night and had a great burger, and piece of blueberry peach buckle for desert, hummmmm good (courtesy of the good folks at Everyday People Café). The sunset was picture perfect. It doesn’t get any better than this. Went for a bike ride along Lakeshore Drive to the washout before breakfast this morning, the lake was really calm and the air was hipnotic. The pool is about 83 degrees and the retro Schwinn Suburban's are tuned up and ready to go.

We've put together some awesome picnic baskets for you to venture forth from Sherwood Forest with. Your own basket of goodies to take to the beach or the park. The picnic includes a fine selection of Italian meats, cheeses, and baguettes, along with fresh fruit and sweets to make your afternoon rendezvous complete. To wet your whistle, choose from spritzers or bottled water, a vegetarian selection also available.

The Saugatuck Douglas jazz festival starts tonight at the Saugatuck Brewing Company at 7:00 p.m. with the Marcus Miller Quartet: at 8:00 p.m. Onita Sanders on harp; at 9:00 p.m. the Ron English Trio and at 10:00 p.m. Musique Noire.

Classical Music continues tonight with some Chamber being performed at 7:00 pm at the Women's Club in downtown Saugatuck. Here's a small tease...Piano Trio in A flat Major by Joseph Haydn with cello and violin.

Breakfast this morning was egg and potato quiche, fresh fruit salad and chocolate chip banana bread. Of course Italian Espresso organic coffee (yes-free trade too) .

Enjoy another lazy day of summer my friends.
