Good Morning Douglas and Saugatuck, Michigan. Another nice lazy day here and at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast and Saugatuck, Michigan. Today in West Michigan it will be partly cloudy, chance of some fun thunderstorms that you can watch coming in over Lake Michigan. The temperature will be close to 80 degrees, with some pretty high winds, if you get the chance, check out the wave action.

A great day to do some stay indoors and cook some fresh blueberry syrup (the worlds best anti-oxidant), catch some lunch at Coral Gables, hit the Antique Mall and of course sneak that nap into place sometime this afternoon. Oh yeah, you might want to head over to the Singapore Bank Bookstore and find a great summer read!

Breakfast this morning Cinnamon Orange french toast, canadian bacon, lemon whole wheat muffins, fresh fruit salad and of course Italian Espresso organic coffee (yes-free trade too).

Here is a great recipe from one of the Sherwood Forest Sirens

Brook's Blueberry Syrup

Brook is a French countryside siren, a very articulate woman whose cooking modus operandi operates with sublime yet effortless grace. She came to us during blueberry season with this amazing syrup, which we serve with our Cinnamon-Orange French Toast.

Ingredients
1 Cup water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
one-half cup sugar (or more to taste)
6 cups blueberries, fresh or frozen, washed and drained

Combine first 3 ingredients in saucepan and stir until sugar and cornstarch are dissolved, then add blueberries and cook on low heat for half hour, stirring occasionally, then cool and refrigerate (good for up to 1 week refrigerated).

Have a lazy day mi amigos!
