Good Morning Douglas and Saugatuck, Michigan. Summers here, let the dog days hang around for a while, rumor has it, we'll be in the 90's by Sunday. Bring it on. Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast and Saugatuck, Michigan are ready. Today in West Michigan it will be sunny all day long, great beach time, some swimming, just another lazy day here on the lakeshore. The temperature will be in the mid 70's, almost 80 today. Low 60's tonight, perfect sleeping weather. Why not hit the state park and take a long walk through the woods, it will be just beautiful.
The sunset was just spectacular last night, slow, serene, peaceful. Took a long walk along the shoreline, saw a pretty hip sand-castle some kids put together at Douglas Beach too.
Looking for something to do, here are a few suggestions...
Chamber Music Festival of Saugatuck: "Paris, Je T'aime," 8 tonight, Saugatuck Woman's Club
Tall Ships-Blue Berries with replicas of Columbus' Nina, Pinta, today, Maritime Museum, 260 Dyckman Ave., South Haven
Pump Boys and Dinettes, 8 tonight, Mason Street Warehouse, Saugatuck Center for the Arts, 400 Culver St., Saugatuck
If your looking for the best hummus and pita bread in the area, try M & M's in Douglas on BSH, they also have a great gyro with tzatziki sauce.
Breakfast this morning was cheese, tomato, basil Quiche with a potato crust, banana bran & lemon ginger muffins, fresh fruit salad and of course Italian Espresso organic coffee (yes-free trade too).
Have a great day my friends.
