Good morning Douglas and Saugatuck, Michigan. Summer is still here.

Today in West Michigan! Well, lets just say the dog days of summer rain are here, we had 45 inches of rain on Tuesday night and we are about to get a couple of more this morning. To say there isn't any rain in the forecast would be like a weatherman not being bald. The high is only barely going to reach about 70, with the low tonight in the mid 50's. Lake Michigan should have waves in the 2-3 foot action section.

Here at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast and Saugatuck, Michigan,

The sunset tonight, it will be around 8:40, use your rocket ship to view it.

The Douglas Social is tonight and it starts runs from 5:30-9:00 pm. Admission is free s is the music and you can purchase food & drink. A great place to meet some new friends.

Catch the The Putnam County Spelling Bee this weekend at the Mason Street Warehouse at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts.

Great to catch lunch at Coral Gables and watch the rain on the river through the windows, head over to the antique mall, tour the saugatuck Douglas Historical Museum or the Steamship Keewatin, doesn't get any better than this, really it doesn't there's always something to do in Saugatuck and Douglas

Don't forget to check out our calendar of events for August at

Breakfast this morning is Baked Blueberry Pancakes, fresh fruit salad and banana bran muffins. Of course Italian Espresso organic coffee (yes-free trade too) .

From all of us here at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast, have a wonderful inside day.
