Good Morning Douglas and Saugatuck, Michigan. The sunset over Lake Michigan was awesome and even though I missed it, I heard on the news this morning that there was a huge meteor that streaked across our sky last night.
Today in West Michigan! Completely sunny with temps in the hovering around the mid 70's.
Here at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast, it’ will be a great beach day, hardly any wind, take a dip in the big lake, a walk along the lakeshore, sit by our cool pool, take one of the bikes for a leisurely ride into town and catch one of the last open days at the Red Dock Cafe in Douglas, they close right after Labor Day.
Looking for something to do, here are a few suggestions...
Music in the Park tonight with Delilah DeWylde & The Lost Boys, Rip Roarin' Honky Tonk at the Wicks Park Gazebo on Water Street, Saugatuck. Performance time 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Pick peaches at Cranes Orchards in Fennville on M-89 and at Earl Farm Market on Blue Star Highway in Glenn you can pick Fall Red and Gold Raspberries, fresh tomatoes and sweet corn too.
Catch the sunset tonight, it will be around 8:20, nice living on the western edge of the eastern time zone.
Why not hit the Saugatuck Dunes State Park and take a long walk through the woods, it will be just beautiful.
Breakfast this morning is baked Blueberry pancake, Banana Bran Muffins, fresh fruit salad and of course Italian Espresso organic coffee (yes-free trade too).
Don't forget to check out our calendar of events for September at http://www.sherwoodforestbandb.com/news.html
From all of us here at Sherwood Forest, have a great Day!!!
