Good Morning Douglas and Saugatuck, Michigan. It's official today is the first full day of Autumn!
A Great day to start thinking about your halloween costume and what funky face your going to carve on your pumpkin.
Today in West Michigan! Temps will be in the high 60's. Mostly cloudy with a light wind.
Here at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast, it's a lazy day.
Here are a few suggestions if your looking for something to do...
Here at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast, it will be a pretty easy day, maybe take a walk along the lakeshore, ride the bike into town and catch lunch at the Butler Hotel and watch as some of the boast make their way to dry dock for the winter siesta (ouch I said winter).
Head to Cranes Orchards, just one of West Michigan's U-Pick Apple Orchards (they might have some peaches left), is less than 7 miles from our front door. They have 14 different varieties, such as Gala, Macintosh, Honey Crisp, Cortland, Golden Supreme, Jonagold, Empire, Jonathans, Ida Reds, Golden Delicious, Mutsu, Red Delicious, Fuji, and Braeburn. For more info, call 269-561-8651 or visit http://www.craneorchards.com And there's also Earl's U-Pick Farm--through October 15, you can pick red or gold raspberries. For more info, call 269-227-2074 or visit http://www.earlsberries.com. You can pretty much find pumpkins everywhere now too.
Breakfast this morning is Cinnamon Orange French Toast, Canadian bacon, Zucchini Chocolate bread, fresh fruit salad, and of course Italian Espresso organic coffee (yes-free trade too).
Don't forget to check out our calendar of events for September at http://www.sherwoodforestbandb.com/news.html
From all of us here at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast, have a great first day of Autumn day.
