Good Morning Douglas and Saugatuck, Michigan.

Today in West Michigan! Cloudy, with a high near 50. East wind around 11 mph.

Here at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast, it's going to be another quiet day, give that bohemian inside of you some time today to lounge around, read a slow book, take a long walk, breathe some clean air.

It's a great day to start thinking of what your bag of bones is going to be clothed in when the annual Celtic Festival of Samhain takes place, take a moment to wander through your favorite pumpkin patch, do a test drive in your mind cause Halloween is just around the corner and you surly want to scare someone.

Don't forget t visit the Haunted Corn maze at Cranes this weekend. Hours are from Dark to 10 p.m.

JUST SCARY ENOUGH FOR ALL AGES. The Red Barn Haunted House runs from 7 PM until 10 PM. This weekend, The Wavecrest Robotics Team is spotlighting classic Halloween characters we all know … vampires, werewolves, witches, ghosts, ghouls, goblins and monsters of all types . . . as well as some brand new scarier beasts.

Why not hit the Saugatuck Dunes State Park and take a long walk through the woods, it will be just beautiful. The leaves are sporting some beautiful colors you won't want to miss. Take a walk along the lakeshore, Have lunch at Kalico Kitchen and for desert have a piece of pie, rumored to be the best in West Michigan.

If you don't mind pickin apples, head to Crane's Orchards, just one of West Michigan's U-Pick Apple Orchards (they might have some peaches left), is less than 7 miles from our front door. They have 14 different varieties, such as Gala, Macintosh, Honey Crisp, Cortland, Golden Supreme, Jonagold, Empire, Jonathans, Ida Reds, Golden Delicious, Mutsu, Red Delicious, Fuji, and Braeburn. For more info, call 269-561-8651

Breakfast this morning is Cinnamon Orange French Toast, Canadian bacon, Banana Nut Bread, fresh fruit salad, and of course Italian Espresso organic coffee (yes-free trade too).
