Good Morning Douglas and Saugatuck, Michigan

Halloween is Here!!!!!! Yes folks, it's here, a day and night where the dead walk with the living, you just never know who you are standing next too or who is standing next to your bed and watching as you sleep, who is invading your dreams and siphoning off your protoplazem and laughing about it with their dead friends. You can find them at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast, they might just be sleeping in your bed with you.

Today in West Michigan! A chance of showers before 2pm, then scattered sprinkles after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 47. Breezy, with a west wind between 25 and 28 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

The Douglas Ghost Train was a steam engine on the former Douglas to Holland Railway. The engine was hauling four dimly-lit carriages with a full passenger contingent for the holidays in 1929, it crashed into the Kalamazoo River when the Swing-bridge collapsed on this very night 80 years ago. The passengers could be heard screaming as they all drown, it is said some local kid locked the doors from the outside because he was being punished and couldn't go along with his family for the trip. Sometimes at the death hour, 3:00 am, you can see him on the shore of the river and laughing.

Here at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast, with the forecast calling for ghouls and goblins to invade our plane of existence, it might be right to treat everyting with equality regardless of whether they actually breathe or not.

Don't forget to clap you live hands as all the dead kids march in the dead family parade at 3:30 p.m. in downtown saugatuck and then you can watch the adult parade and all your dead cross dressing friends at 10:00 p.m. in downtown Douglas.

Here is some haunting things to do, visit the old Graveyard.

Visit the Haunted Corn maze at Cranes. Hours are from Dark to 10 p.m.

JUST SCARY ENOUGH FOR ALL AGES. The Red Barn Haunted House runs from 7 PM until 10 PM.
