Happy 235th Birthday America

Hip and groovy things to do on July 4th in Saugatuck and Douglas.
Lunch at either the Red Dock Cafe (next to the Keewatin in Douglas-great pulled pork sandwich) or Wally's Bar and Grill (Hoffman in Saugatuck-pretty darn good perch sandwich)
Parade at 2:00 p.m. Pretty Cool Parade (includes the Kazoo Band, clowns, firetrucks, some old cars and plenty of candy throwers)
Beach In-between
Dinner, take away fro Boardwalk (Saugatuck-awesome wraps) or Wild Dog (Douglas-nice outdoor seating)
Music at 7:00 p.m. at Cooks Park-dancing in the streets (well at least on the grass)
Fireworks over Lake Kalamazoo at Dusk (best place to watch-near the Butler restaurant in Saugatuck)
Be careful out there, fireworks can be detrimental to your health if not properly used.
Peace, love and Harmony from all of us here at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast
